Viewers can probably tell you all about David Bromstad's ability to help newly rich folks purchase million-dollar abodes, thanks to his gig as the host of My Lottery Dream Home. But Bromstad first set himself on the path to fame (and fortune) when he won the premiere season of HGTV's Design Star in 2006. Following his win, he served as a host on the show.
