Mark McMillian, now 52, was a speedy high school sprint champion who excelled in his two years as a starter at Glendale Junior College in California and earned the title of All-American.

The University of Alabama offered Mark McMillian a scholarship to play for their team due to his standout performance on the field, and the legendary Gene Stallings would coach him.

The record for the longest interception TD in Alabama’s school history is still held by Mark McMillian today.

As a rookie, Mark was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 10th round of the NFL draft and earned recognition by being named to the highly esteemed All-Madden Team.

Following a short time with the New Orleans Saints, some of Mark McMillian’s most memorable moments as a cornerback came when he played for the Kansas City Chiefs with coach Marty Schottenheimer at the helm.

During an impressive season in 1997, Mark McMillian was nicknamed “Mighty Mouse” by his fans and teammates; standing at 5-foot-7-inches, he recorded eight interceptions and three defensive touchdowns, with the longest being 87 yards.

In addition to his impressive achievements, Mark set a franchise record for the most returned yards (274) in Kansas City Chiefs’ history.

Mighty Mac concluded his 8-year NFL career playing with the Washington Redskins, alongside Hall of Famers Daryl Green and Champ Bailey.
